Hello Readers,
Recently, I had the honor to talk to someone who has read
Jumping Anyway, and I have had the privilege to share in her experiences. She was sharing with me about how one of my poems spoke to her, and reminded her of overcoming a tragic loss in her life. We spoke for a few moments, and something she said had made me think about how true the words I had spoken/written about time truly was. Time allows one to feel as if lifetimes pass, as in the case "Time flies when you're having fun", or it has the ability to drag on forever, like when you are bored in class or working. But, there is something about the way we perceive time that is truly the difference in how we feel about it. However, those brief instances, when seconds or minutes pass so slowly, that you are able to live out an entire life in a daydream, those moments can help you see consequences of your actions and allow to make decisions that you won't regret in the future. Perhaps, it is these moments come to us in the times we need the most. This is my thought for the day, and hope it gives you all something to thank about.
